Our commitment

DMP Training respects privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). DMP Training is the responsible party for information collected through this website and its training services.

Information we collect

We may collect identity and contact details, employer and billing details, account credentials, orders and payment status, course enrolments, attendance, learning activity, assessments, results, certificates, support messages and technical information such as IP address, device and security logs. Payfast processes payment-card or banking information under its own privacy practices; DMP Training receives transaction status and related order information, not full card details.

Why we process it

We use information to respond to enquiries; conclude and perform enrolment and purchase agreements; deliver training; authenticate learners; administer assessments and certificates; provide employer reports where authorised; process payments, refunds and tax records; maintain security; meet accreditation, regulatory and legal duties; and communicate service information. Marketing is sent only where permitted, and recipients may opt out at any time.

Sharing and operators

Information may be shared only as reasonably required with authorised DMP Training staff and facilitators, hosting and learning-platform providers, Payfast and banking providers, email and support providers, employers or sponsors entitled to learner reporting, accreditation or assessment bodies, and public authorities where required by law. Service providers acting as operators must process information for the agreed purpose and protect it appropriately.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, access controls, backups and secure connections. Records are kept only for as long as necessary for training, certification, contractual, accreditation, tax, dispute and legal requirements, then securely deleted or de-identified. No internet service is completely risk-free; suspected security compromises are handled in accordance with POPIA.

Your choices and rights

Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, request deletion where retention is no longer lawful, opt out of direct marketing, or complain to the Information Regulator. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
